Socio-Economic Innovation Cluster

Developing intellectual, social and creative capital, improving the quality of entrepreneurship, as well as designing and implementing innovations (social and business) are the main area of activity of the Social Innovation Workshop Foundation. The directions of activities are implemented primarily through educational activities (trainings, workshops and more extensive development programs), but also through scientific activities – consisting in gathering the latest knowledge, conducting own research, publishing activities – as well as through implementation activities.

Federation of Equal Signs

The Equality Signs Federation is a Krakow-based association of non-governmental organizations working for and within the LGBTQIAP+ community locally and nationally, active since 2016. We run the longest operating center of the queer community in Poland – DOM EQ. We provide free legal and psychological assistance, educate and create local, rainbow initiatives. Our activities have been awarded, m.in, the title of Krakow Ambassador of Multiculturalism, the NGO of the Year award during the East Meets West conference and the Polish Diversity Award 2024.

KMS as a non-profit foundation has existed since 2015. It helps to take the first steps in the world of innovative business, building bridges between start-ups, public authorities, educational institutions and non-governmental organizations.

It organizes numerous conferences, workshops, business hackathons, and networking events, helping thousands of people gain knowledge and skills related to entrepreneurship. It especially supports startups at an early stage of development, through the proprietary Krk InnoTech Starter pre-acceleration program.

ProMusicLab specializes in music education, sound production, post-production and audio-video recording. The offer includes piano lessons, singing lessons with elements of speech therapy, as well as composition and arrangement classes.

The studio is equipped with professional sound and studio equipment and specialized software.

The Centre for Social Integration is a space of social and professional activation for Krakow residents. We support them in returning to work and social life, e.g. after long-term unemployment or a crisis caused by a personal situation or illness.

Purpose?

Regaining influence on one's own life and a sense of agency. We cooperate with socially engaged employers. We run a special reintegration program through practical classes in workplaces, support from vocational instructors, a series of workshops with specialists, consultations with a social worker, career counsellor or psychologist. The Foundation has been operating under the idea of Life Long Learning since 2012. She conducts personal and professional development workshops, coaching sessions and trainings for the staff of companies and organizations in the field of communication m.in, teamwork and management.

The mission of the Foundation is to pass on knowledge to professionals, members of non-governmental organizations, leaders, social activists, parents and caregivers. In Liszki near Krakow, he runs the Developmental Folk University, in Krakow the Center for Social Integration. It deals with the activation of local leaders and building a network of cooperation with NGOs, local governments and business.

The Multicultural Center in Krakow is a project co-financed by the City of Krakow, which has been operated and organized since 2021 by the IB Poland Foundation and partners. Its main goal is to help foreigners acclimatize to Krakow by organizing m.in open cultural events, walks, meetings and workshops.

As part of the Multicultural Centre, there is also an Information Point for Foreigners, where those interested can get free legal advice, psychological support, information about education, health care and all kinds of information about life in Krakow.

The Food Bank in Krakow has been fighting food waste, poverty and malnutrition for over a quarter of a century. In the Cluster at Zabłocie 20 there is a warehouse and the headquarters of the Food Bank. Every day, food is sent from this place to about 200 partner organizations that support those in need in Krakow and Małopolska. Every year, the Bank provides people in need with about 4 thousand tons of food saved from waste and food from EU food aid programs for the poorest. The Food Bank is made up of employees, members and volunteers of the Association.
